NSWC IHD Announces CITE Partnership Agreement with Aerojet Rocketdyne

Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division has partnered with Aerojet Rocketdyne to boost production of solid rocket motors to support our national defense.
 
“NSWC IHD has repeatedly answered the call and supplied our warfighters with the best weapons, tools and equipment needed to win the fight and bring them home safely. The signing of this P3 Agreement is further proof of that,” said NSWC IHD Commanding Officer Capt. Steve Duba.

TEDxGreatMills presents “Yes, And…”

This year’s TEDxGreatMills team brings an engaging, all new set of public presentations to the stage at the intimate Three Notch Theater in Lexington Park on Saturday, February  24, 2024, at 7:00 pm. Our six speakers represent a broad spectrum of views, deliberately designed to inform us and bring us closer together in celebration of the wonderfully creative, thoughtful, and diverse community that we are. They will explore topics such as human-based design and engineering, creative thought, AI and genetic engineering decisions in the face of global challenges, music to soothe our minds, and end-of-life positivity.

It’s All Hands On Deck as Charles County Rallies Around the NSWC Modernization Plan

With the war in Russia and Ukraine, then Israel and Hamas, and increased threats worldwide, the U.S. Navy is planning to modernize and drastically increase munitions production at the nation’s only public arsenal. That arsenal is the NSWC Indian Head, what many Charles County residents simply refer to as “the naval base in Indian Head.”
