Board of Directors Nominations

The Charles County Military Alliance Council is now accepting nominations for two open positions on our Board of Directors.

MAC members may nominate themselves or another member, provided that eligibility requirements are met.

Nomination Instructions

To nominate yourself or another member, please complete the form below. You will be asked to provide the nominee’s contact information, a brief statement of interest, and confirmation that the nominee has agreed to run (if nominating someone else).

The nomination period closes October 15, 2025. Candidate statements and biographies will be posted on our website for review on October 31. Voting will take place at the Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

Duties of the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is entrusted with exercising corporate powers and managing the business and affairs of MAC. Board members play a vital role in guiding the direction of our organization and ensuring its success. Duties include:
• Establishing the mission, goals, and program priorities through strategic planning.
• Ensuring policies are developed, adopted, and implemented to support MAC’s mission.
• Setting overall organizational policy.
• Advocating for MAC’s mission, values, accomplishments, and goals to members and the broader public.
• Monitoring and strengthening programs that are responsive to member needs.
• Establishing fiscal policy, including budget authorization and oversight.
• Supporting financial stability through fundraising and resource development.
• Selecting, supporting, and evaluating the Executive Director.
• Recruiting, electing, and orienting Directors and Officers of the Board.
• Recruiting and retaining members of the organization.

Serving on the Board is both a responsibility and an opportunity to make a lasting impact on MAC and our community.

Candidate Eligibility

According to MAC bylaws, candidates must:
• Be a member in good standing.
• Have attended at least eight (8) MAC meetings.
